Deadlines: Registration for this event should be completed by January 15, 2023.  Students should be learning the piece and have made the commitment to participate by this time.  Sue Lieberman and Diana Lopez have emailed detailed information about Convention Ensembles to all teachers; contact them if you have not received these messages.

Repertoire:
Texas/American Ensemble (Grades 3 to 7): “The Ancient Lantern” by Martha Mier.

High School Ensemble (Grades 8 to 12): “The Typewriter” by Leroy Anderson

Eligibility: Students participating must be TMTA Student Affiliate members.  Students must pass their TMTA theory test in the 2022 - 2023 school year.  Rehearsals are mandatory and the schedule will be announced by the director after consulting with parents.  Students must also learn and memorize their part by a specified deadline, which will be before the first rehearsal.
